While the role of a state representative comes with many responsibilities, the most important is creating laws that make life better for Hoosiers. If elected, here’s the kind of legislation I would work to advance:
Workers and Wages
Incrementally raise the minimum wage to support working families.
Repeal right to work laws to strengthen unions and put workers first.
Require large businesses to provide paid sick leave and family leave.
Education
End the school voucher system and make sure public schools get the funding they need.
Repeal SEA Bill No. 1 to protect funding for schools, police, firefighters, and other essential services.
Require school districts to offer pre-K childcare through state-funded preschool programs (“Preschool for All”).
Healthcare
Protect healthcare rights for women across Indiana.
Stabilize rural hospitals with funding and grants to ensure communities have access to care.
Utilities and Transportation
Regulate transportation costs included in utility bills.
Control when and how utility companies can increase prices.
Require legislative approval for IURC appointees.
Government Accountability
Establish age limits and term limits for state offices.
Continue pushing for Right to Repair laws to protect consumers and small businesses.
I am committed to putting Hoosiers first, strengthening our communities, and ensuring our voices are heard in Indianapolis.
